This tragedy is forcing a terrifying question into the open: what happens when a machine designed to mimic human intimacy has no understanding of human fragility? Experts are now identifying a new medical phenomenon they call "AI psychosis," where intense engagement with chatbots can lead users to develop delusions and lose touch with reality.
